Product info and FAQ

How are the paintings made?

Paintings are made using acrylic or oil paint. The medium can be found in each painting’s description.

Acrylic paint is water based, it is not toxic, yet it is very versatile and very durable. In order to create paintings that are beautiful and long lived, I use only best quality acrylic paint that does not fade away easily.

I paint in acrylic on canvas (wrapped canvas or canvas board) or on good quality, thick paper. Surface is first primed with few layers of gesso. This ensures that the paint have better grip on the surface. After the painting is finished, I apply two layers of varnish to ensure that the painting is protected for longer period and that it doesn’t easily fade away when exposed to sunshine.

Oil paintings are created on gessoed canvas or wooden boards and protected accordingly.

Created this way, these paintings are durable and long lasting.

Does the painting look exactly as on these photos?

It is very hard if not impossible to catch by camera the exact shades of a painting. I did my best to ensure that the paintings are photographed when the best neutral lighting was available, and still I cannot guarantee you that the photos represent the paintings one hundred percent.

That being said, the photos represent the colours and shades of a painting very, very well, and it is my opinion that the paintings look even better than the photos when seen en vivo. Just in case, if you receive a painting and you don’t like it, you will be able to return it, at your expense. You will be reimbursed for the amount you paid for the painting if I receive it in satisfactory condition.
